The groom and I both grew up in Coquitlam and our parents still live there, but we never met until much later, when neither of us were living there anymore! It meant a lot to us to get married in the town we both grew up in, at the Westwod Plateau Golf and Country Club. The groom and I planned the wedding ourselves and we were so proud to work together on it! Our theme was "Let's get Political" so we had political buttons for the guests to wear that said "Ramya and Mark for Married". We also had guests "vote" for our first dance song (We gave them 5 cheesy song options) and created a Google poll so guests could vote beforehand. "Kiss from a Rose" by Seal ended up being the winner! We had Kicking Horse Coffee as the wedding favours (We both LOVE coffee) and put similar "Mark and Ramya for Married" political themed stickers on each package!
