After 25 years together, Todd gave me a surprise proposal in Hawaii. Our very intimate wedding took place on a private property there one year later. The day was amazing, from the ceremony performed by a Kahu in english and Hawaiian with local traditions, to the fantastic meal prepared by a private chef and served on the lanai - not to mention the spectacular fire knife dance performed after dark. 

From the start we knew we were going to "trash the dress" in the ocean. At The Bridal Gallery, I quickly discovered the low-backed, flowy style I prefered wasn't going to work for me. Plus, I found myself unexpectedly drawn to the ballgown silhouettes! Angela took everything I wanted into acount and went to get what she thought would be the ideal dress. I knew she was right the moment I saw it. I was sure the dress would be perfect for our big day and look wonderfully billowy in the water too. 

We loved our wedding, and trashing the dress the next morning at sunrise was a blast. FYI, there were no tears in the dress, not a single embellishment out of place, and after cleaning it had no stains whatsoever.
